Paying it forward… to ME
I’m sure most of you have seen the movie “Pay It Forward“, so I’m not going to bother with a synopsis. It’s amazing how much you can really get done when you decide to “pay it forward” to yourself. I guess I would define that as doing a few extra things, even though you may not feel like it, to make your life a little easier later on. Like setting up the coffee pot each evening so that I can just hit the button in the morning. Taking that extra 10 minutes to fold and put away the laundry NOW instead of letting it sit and wrinkle until I finally “get around to it” three days later. Using that extra 2 minutes while I’m waiting for John to get out of the shower to empty the dishwasher so that it’s ready to be used when I get home and start cooking dinner. Even simple things like packing a week’s worth of snacks in individual Ziploc bags so that I can just toss them into our lunch bags and run.
If you think about it, pay it forward to yourself tomorrow. Pick just one little thing to do tomorrow evening that will make your life easier when you get up and get moving on Wednesday morning. You’ll be glad you did. ![]()
