Critters in the Feeders

I was off work on Monday for the holiday. The ground was still completely snow covered and the squirrels were raiding my feeders as usual. A bit later I walked by the window and happened to see this:

I’ll admit it — they are cute. They look about the same size as two of my cats, so I’m going to guess that they are around 10 – 12 pounds each. That’s a bit on the small side for ‘coons; probably still young. These furry little rascals were out in broad daylight eating dried up feed corn and licking the snow. They would watch me and run and hide under the shed if I made too sharp of a movement. I saw them three times between 2pm and 4pm, and then saw them one more time once it was dark outside. Haven’t seen them since, so they must have found some food elsewhere.
