In Real Time — The First Repub. Debate
7:55pm – Just for fun, I’m going to be posting my thoughts on tonight’s Republican Presidential Debate, in real time. Yay. Just 5 minutes until show time; guess I’d better get the popcorn ready.
8:09pm – McCain is jumping on the Duncan Hunter bandwagon now with his comments about Harry Reid. LOL
8:14pm – As I expected. Chrissy Mathews is pretty much going to be asking the candidates about Iraq, Iraq and Iraq. And don’t forget Iraq.
8:30pm – Ah crap … here we go on global warming.
8:32pm – I’m starting to like Ron Paul. I previously had no idea who he is, but he seems to have a realistic view of government and it’s role in society.
8:45pm — Ya know, Mitt Romney is actually starting to sound good too. I’ve liked what little I’ve gotten to hear from Duncan Hunter. Chrissy almost seems to be deliberately skipping over him.
9:30pm — The republican candidates got much better questions in their debate than the Democrats did last week. The Dems were questioned by their own — the Republicans were cross-examined by a liberal poster boy. Who’s skeered now?
So, I think the winners were Romney and Hunter. The clear losers were McCain and Guilliani.
