New York, Here I Come!
My sister is in town this week. I’m meeting her (and her friends) in New York City tomorrow morning. I’m taking the train up; they’re flying from Reagan National. We’re meeting somewhere in Times Square. I am so excited — I’ve never been to NYC before!! Yay!
I’ve got my bags all packed. Well, make that “bag” — it’s an overnight, so I’m just taking a backpack with a change of clothes and a toothbrush. Oh, and my tripod too! I’m all ready to go. I roll out to the Amtrak station around 5:30am tomorrow. I’ve got a book to read and snacks for the ride up. And my NYPass. Woo!
Man oh man, what a time to go. The remnants of Tropical Storm Barry are passing through NYC right now and will still be tomorrow and Tuesday. So I’ve got my umbrella packed too. Good times…..
