All Grown Up
While I was out cutting the grass, I decided to see if I could get one more look at the Northern Mockingbird chicks. “Mom” was being very protective this morning, so I was lucky to get this shot. I’m glad I did — they left the nest two hours later. “Mom” continued to guard the nest through the day, and watched me closely while I was swimming. I’m not sure if she doesn’t yet know that they are gone, or is guarding the nest for other reasons.
