Almost Like Home

I’m in Orlando again. I’ve been down here three times on business this summer. I’ll be back a few more times. :-)

I did some birthday shopping for the niece and nephew once my plane landed, then checked in to my hotel. Thanks to some rate reductions, my per diem covered a room with a microwave and fridge this time. Wow!

After a few hours of work (always work… *sigh*) I headed out to the Cafe Tu Tu Tango for dinner. I had calamari and stuffed mushrooms. I swear to you, it was the best calamari I’ve ever had. Wonderfully crispy and delicate. Lori, the bartender, remembered me. I’m not sure if I should be flattered or embarrassed. (Thanks for the free Long Island, Lori! :-D ) She asked how John was doing, and how long I was down for. I told her that I’d bring John in the next time he comes down. I was hoping he’d be able to join me here for a completely irresponsible mini vacation at the end of the week. But we’re entirely too responsible.
I’m talking to John over AIM right now. I wish I were home. Traveling blows.
