Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
We got some snow today. Almost 5 inches, I think. A coworker and I left work early so that we could be off the roads before the crazies came out to play on the roadways. The roads were mostly clear until I got into Mount Airy. After picking up a couple of bags of ice melt at the local hardware store, I stopped by Concetta’s Italian Grocer to pick up some dinner. A quart of homemade meatballs and a quart of homemade marinara sauce paired with a box of whole wheat angel hair pasta resulted in 5 meals for us.
Here’s what our yard looked like when I got home:
John started shoveling but ran out of energy and light; not to mention the fact that the still-falling snow was quickly stealing the fruits of his labor. He’s going to wait until tomorrow morning to start up again, which gives me an excuse to sleep in.
