Blizzard 2009 — Part 2

We spent the morning digging out.  John was using our neighbor’s snow thrower and I was shoveling.  The official total for our area was 22.5 inches, but it is waist deep in some places of our yard.  The driveway is half cleared (enough for us to get in and out), and the birds are fed.  It’s really starting to get windy out there, so I’m sure that blowing snow will be an issue this evening.  This is what we saw when we woke up:

There is no way that all of this will melt by Friday — White Christmas!!!
