A Kodak Moment

John took me flying last night. It was the first time I’d ever been up after dark. We took off from KFDK and headed for Winchester. He turned on the runway lights so that I could see the field. We headed south toward Front Royal before turning to the west. [...]

So many photos, So little time

We’re home. I’m in the process of unpacking, doing laundry, and re-packing for a business trip tomorrow. I took nearly 400 photos. I’m still trying to catch up on my AirVenture “daily” posts and caption my photographs, but you can see them in their unedited form on my Flickr site.

AirVenture (Saturday)

We tried to sleep in today, but it just didn’t happen. Heck, sleeping in typically means 7am anymore. Our host prepared most excellent breakfast burritos this morning. After eating and packing the car we decided to take a stroll and see the rest of Neenah. We headed down Wisconsin Street in [...]

Other than that, [...]

AirVenture (Wednesday)

Our “cell mates” — just kidding… the other couple who were staying at the B&B — gave us a line on a great parking area. We tried it out, and it was pretty great. It was cheaper than the Blue lot and not as crowded which was a plus, but it took longer [...]

AirVenture (Tuesday)

Today was our second day at AirVenture. We slept in a bit but were downstairs for breakfast by 7:10. Breakfast was awesome. We got to the field a bit late, but the Blue parking lot was still open. Our main plan of attack was to check out the kit builders first [...]
