Melting Yet?

The house that I grew up in didn’t have central a/c or heat.  In the winter, we had electric baseboard heaters and a wood burning stove; in the summer we had a couple of window a/c units (Four?).  The window units were on when it was really hot outside; any other time, the windows were [...]

Off They Go…

John and his friend Phil left, this morning, on a week-long tour of the South via motorcycle.  So it’s just me, three cats, and an empty house this week.  There are a million things I could be … should be … doing, but I have no clue where to start.  *sigh*  I think this is [...]

John got the final coat of white paint on the office walls on Saturday afternoon and applied [...]

Four Down, Sixty-Three to Go

John installed the ceiling fan in the sitting room today. It went off without a hitch for once. While going over the instructions for the wireless wall switch, he realized that it used an unusual battery size that we didn’t have on hand, so we were going to end up running to [...]

The Renovation Continues

John decided a couple of weeks ago that he needed to get the sitting room and spare bedroom (upstairs) done before he can feel ok about getting started on the RV again. After talking about it over and over, we decided to make the front room an office instead of another bedroom. Why? [...]
