Niagara Falls

We decided to go to Niagara Falls this past weekend with Neil and Pam.  Since their RV-8 is faster than our Cessna, we flew up on Friday night and stayed over.  I’m glad we did.  The flight up was a hair under 3 hours, and it was 5:30 by the time we picked up the [...]

Williamsburg, VA

We went to Williamsburg a couple of weeks ago.  It was a nice long weekend — Thursday through Sunday.  It was pouring down rain the day we drove down.  We took the candlelight ghost tour that night, and it was raining so hard that we were soaked down to our underwear.  LOL  I had to [...]

Off They Go…

John and his friend Phil left, this morning, on a week-long tour of the South via motorcycle.  So it’s just me, three cats, and an empty house this week.  There are a million things I could be … should be … doing, but I have no clue where to start.  *sigh*  I think this is [...]

Stand in the median at Times Square and look up at all of the signs
Window Shopping at FAO Schwarz, Macy’s, Toys ‘R [...]

How Timely!

So, it’s T-33 hours and counting until we’re on the train to NYC and I’m starting to wonder what it’s going to be like.  Anonymous (a world-wide distributed anti-scientology network with no real leader) is planning an anti-Scientology protest around the Times Square area on Saturday — just a block from our hotel!  The Rev. [...]

A Slice of the Big Apple

So, if you actually read my blog you know that I went to NYC for the first time ever with my sister and her friends last year.  They took a plane, I had a nice relaxing morning reading a book on an Amtrak train.  The train took me to Penn Station which was just a [...]
