We spent Father’s Day weekend with John’s parents. It was a nice weekend; pretty hot though. When we got back, my Gas Price Barameter (a family-owned non-branded service station), who had held their ground at $3.99 for weeks while every other station in town hit $4+, had hit $4.03 for a gallon of regular unleaded. [...]

Raccoons strike again. They love the nectar that I put in my hummingbird feeders. When I use the ceramic feeders, they tear the corks up and drink the nectar out. Now they’re chewing the flowers off of these cheap little feeders. Not sure what to do except bring them inside every night. What a pain.

So, other than last night’s Obamaness, I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks. I went on business travel, came home for a week and then left on travel again. But I’m home now — for a while, I hope.
Right before I left, I put some veggies down in the garden. This [...]

Now that I’ve gotten the ObamaJama ranting out of my system (although I will have popcorn handy for that speech tomorrow), back to lighter subjects.
As you can see, the site is back up. The transfer went fairly smoothly although there were a couple of small bugs. I don’t have my photo gallery back [...]

I’ve been catching up on laundry today and got some grocery shopping done as well. UPS dropped off my spiffy new iPod yesterday while I was at work. When we built this computer last year, [...]

When I left for Orlando on Tuesday morning (very early Tuesday morning), I had a couple of tiny zucchini starting to form. I also had 17 baby tomatoes. When I got back this afternoon, I was greeted by these monsters. In order to keep squash plants producing, you’re supposed to pick them [...]

The cucumber plants have flowered and I’m expecting to see cucumbers any time. Several of the peppers have flowered, but I’m not seeing [...]
